Smudge Salon is owned by two boss babes, Shelby and Tabatha!

So why Smudge? Shelby and Tabatha thought long and hard trying to come up with a name that was fitting for both of us, but not cheesy and obvious. Shabby Salon I kid you not was on our list (shelby + tabby = shabby) A few weird potential names later, we wound up on Smudge. Why Smudge?? Because it is everything we want to bring to our space. We thrive on good vibes and welcoming positive energy into our personal lives so why not bring that same energy to our new salon.

The art of smudging is a way to energetically cleanse a space to invite positive energy and dispel the negative. The smoke that comes from the burning of your plant of choice is believed to purify your environment.
 

The ancient practice of burning dried sage has roots in Native American tradition. It’s also something to do with pure intention, respect and deep gratitude to those who did it before us.
